In the year 2011, the researchers at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Bergen in collaboration with the Bergen Clinics Foundation, Norway started doing a study on 423 students of which 227 were women and 196 were men. Later they developed a scale called “Bergen Facebook Addiction scale” that can be used for finding out if a particular person is suffering from Facebook Addiction or not.

Actually the scale is a simple set of questionnaire about your Facebook related habits and activities. For each answer there are five choices and according to that your Facebook obsession levels are judged.

Take the Facebook Addiction Test:

The Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale stands on six basic and simple criteria, where to answer each criteria you have five options namely: (1) Very rarely, (2) Rarely, (3) Sometimes, (4) Often, and (5) Always

Here you have to answer each question as per the above five options, the questions will be on your Facebook habits and mindsets. Below are the questions:

• You spend a lot of time thinking about Facebook or plan use of Facebook.
• You feel an urge to use Facebook more and more.
• You use Facebook in order to forget about personal problems.
• You have tried to cut down on the use of Facebook without success.
• You become restless or troubled if you are prohibited from using Facebook.
• You use Facebook so much that it has had a negative impact on your job/studies.

Now, after you have answered the above question make a note of the total count of answers where you have selected the option “often” or “always”. If the number comes to be greater than or equal to 4, then you are addicted to Facebook.

As the name suggests the game is inspired by Rovio’s “Angry birds”. The main theme of the game is to fight against dowry.

The game sets players against “Greedy grooms”, who began with a dowry set at 1.5 million rupees. The brides are allowed to select weapons like broomsticks, stiletto shoes and frying pans and attempt to attack the greedy grooms with them. Each successful hit reduces the dowry amount and adds the money to the player’s anti-dowry fund which players can choose to display on their walls or tweet.

GamePlay : The game is quiet easy to play in each levels you will have some weapons and some dowry fund target which you have to achieve before the stipulated time. As you hit the greedy grooms the dowry fund increases and when it meets the target you can move to next level. (3 stars ★★★)

Graphics: Graphics are okay. I believe that the game could have been made much better if they would have emphasized on graphical details. For example, the bride sitting on the stairs could have been graphed much better. (2 stars ★★)

Sounds : The game does not rely on sounds or music and frankly saying instead of the hitting sound(when the target is hit) and the clapping sound(when the target dowry fund is raised) there is no other sound. (2 stars ★★).

Actually facebook timeline is not compatible with old browsers like Internet explorer 6 or 7, this means that if you use these browsers for opening facebook then the Timeline feature will be disabled. However in case you have upgraded your browsers, then don’t worry because in this trick we will fool facebook to think as if you are using it on some older browser by changing the browser compatibility.

How to Remove Facebook Timeline on Google Chrome:

Chrome users should follow these steps to disable facebook time lines on their profiles.

• Go to desktop and find the Google chrome icon there

• Right click the chrome icon and open the “Properties”.
• In the properties window, navigate to “Shortcut” Tab and in the target field textbox append the below specified code after the path which is present there.
• Code For Windows 7 and Vista users:

Firefox users can undo facebook timeline more easily, all they have to do is to download an add-on and then configure it.

• Open your firefox browser and then download the “USER AGENT SWITCHER” add on.
• Install the add-on and restart firefox.

• After installing, check “User Agent Switcher” button available in “Navigation bar”, if it is not present there then simply right click on the “navigation bar” and click “Customize” and drag and drop the “User Agent Switcher” add-on there.
• Now click the “User Agent Switcher” Button present in the “Navigation bar” and choose the option “Internet Explorer 7”.
• Now when you logon to your facebook profile you won’t find the irritating timeline.

Update:

Some readers have reported that the above mentioned tricks are not working now, so I am sharing a new trick to undo facebook timeline. The main idea behind this trick is that there is a script that simply modifies the CSS the of a Facebook page on your browser. With this I mean that others will be able to see your Facebook profile as it is (with the timeline), but on your browser you can see the profiles in the older look (without timeline).

For this all you have to do is to install a greesemonkey script on chrome and then restart your browser after restarting your browser you will be able to see your profile without timeline. The process is queit simple no configurations or settings are required. Once installed it will take care of all the things by itself.

I know many of you may be thinking that its not useful, but this is useful for the people who are frustrated with the Facebook timeline and want to get rid of it.
